Rough Terrain Fork Lift

This course is designed to empower the participant with the skills and knowledge to safely and productively operate rough terrain forklifts (within the scope of the construction industry). The “forklifts” used in this training include telehandlers/extended-reach and rough-terrain/straight-mast forklifts. The Rough Terrain Forklift course teaches the trainee safe operation, from inspections, maintenance, operation, job site conditions and hazards. Participants will learn to identify and prevent hazardous situations, identify and don appropriate PPE, identify tools, equipment and materials associated with oxyfuel cutting and describe fire protection precautions and procedures. Part 48 Mine Safety and Health

First Aid/CPR

This Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies. It also covers how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims 12 years and older. Participants are required to demonstrate CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

Fall Protection

This course will address both human and equipment related-issues in protecting workers from fall hazards. The participant will learn to identify the appropriate safety standards, including listing the OSHA requirements for materials used to cover floor openings, listing the safety requirements that a personal fall arrest system must meet and identifying the anchorage, body wear, and connecting devises of the systems.
